Personalized cleanings, exams, and many other preventive treatments for kids
While brushing teeth and flossing go a long way towards maintaining a healthy mouth, professional teeth cleanings remove plaque and tartar from your child’s teeth, reducing the likelihood of cavities. Comprehensive exams make sure that small issues are caught before they become big ones.
Benefits of investing in pediatric preventive dentistry for your child
- Reduces likelihood of advanced oral health issues
- Prevents cavities from developing
- Oral health education for you and your child

Preventive Dentistry Treatments
For healthy teeth and gums
We recommend that parents bring their children into our dental office every 6 months for a thorough exam, professional cleaning, and x-rays (once a year). Dr. Pedersen will let you know if anything seems amiss in your child’s mouth, and will review all treatment options and help you make the best choice for your family.
Depending on your child’s age and oral health, we might recommend complementary preventive dentistry services to help maintain their oral health.
- Dental cleanings
- Comprehensive exams
- Digital x-rays
- Fluoride treatments
- Dental sealants
- Interceptive orthodontics
- Space maintainers
- Silver diamine fluoride
