Advancing care with minimally invasive techniques
Minimally invasive dental restoration is an art that requires precision and expertise. Our dedicated team, led by Dr. Pedersen, employs the latest advancements in dental technology to ensure that your child’s smile is restored with care and precision.
Our commitment to minimally invasive techniques extends to various treatments, including:
Dental sealants are thin coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars to prevent decay. They create a barrier that protects the teeth from bacteria and acids.
Composite resin fillings are tooth-colored restorations used to treat cavities. They bond directly to the tooth, requiring less removal of healthy tooth structure compared to traditional amalgam fillings.
Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF):
SDF is a liquid that we apply to cavities to stop their progression. It contains silver particles that kill bacteria and fluoride to promote remineralization. It is a non-invasive approach to managing early cavities in primary teeth.
Stainless Steel Crowns:
We use stainless steel crowns to restore severely decayed or damaged primary teeth. These prefabricated crowns cover the entire tooth, providing protection and maintaining function.
Pulp therapy can to save your child’s tooth when its pulp begins to decay or become infected. The process is similar to a root canal but performed on primary or immature permanent teeth.
Early intervention with preventive orthodontic treatments, such as space maintainers, may prevent the need for more extensive and invasive procedures in the future.
