At your child’s appointment, I’ll always lay out treatment options fully, answering questions and providing the information you need to make the right choice for your family.We’ll also discuss how at-home care, including the food your child eats, affects your child’s dental health.
Alison Riley, DDS, MSDr. Alison grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Penn State University. She then made the move to California and worked as a medical device engineer for three years. During this time, she began volunteering with the UCSD Pre-Dental Society, helping to provide free dental care to those without insurance, and fell in love with dentistry.
Each time we have visited Mariposa Ped. Dentistry has been an awesome experience. All three of my children including my 1 year old, feels comfortable with both the dental assistant and dentist because they show genuine interest and care. Truly a “pediatric” office. The staff and dentist were so well-equipped to handle children, their behaviors, and a parent’s concerns. The waiting room is stocked with children’s toys to keep them occupied while they wait, and even has a couple of arcade games for the older children. My son has had inadequate dental care in the past because the staff does not know how to handle his crying- but Dr. Pedersen knew exactly how to proceed as a pediatric dentist- and we had a positive and effective experience!
