We recommend that parents bring their children into our dental office every 6 months for a thorough exam, professional cleaning, and x-rays (once a year). Dr. Pedersen will let you know if anything seems amiss in your child’s mouth, and will review all treatment options and help you make the best choice for your family.

When should my infant first see the dentist?

We recommend scheduling an appointment for your child around their first birthday or once their first tooth comes in.

Is preventive care covered by insurance?

How often should my child see the dentist?

We recommend that most children come in for an exam and cleaning twice a year, roughly 6 months apart.
